Harris Beach’s Financial Restructuring, Bankruptcy, and Creditor’s Rights practice group is in search of a Paralegal in the Syracuse Office. You will thrive in this role if you have

  • 3+ years legal experience working in commercial real estate
  • High school diploma or equivalent; paralegal certificate (preferred)
  • Experience with MS office and expertise with computer assisted legal resources
  • Sound judgment and a sense of accountability for working independently and proactively
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
  • Superior client service and listening skills for anticipating needs of clients and attorneys

 

The Foreclosure Paralegal will manage documents associated with foreclosure and collection proceedings and civil litigation involving firm clients. Do you have the drive and desire to:

  • Assist with document review and production
  • Maintain files requiring substantial familiar with digital filing and retrieval
  • Review various County Clerk websites to search and locate documents
  • Review various Municipal websites to locate real property tax information
  • Review title documents and assess title status
  • Track documentation and procedural developments in numerous actions and proceedings
  • Communicate daily with in-house counsel and local counsel for the client

Salary information below will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position, geographic locations and weekly hours schedule. The anticipated weekly schedule for the Paralegal is 38.75 hours per week.
