Bilingual Clinical Therapist (AARS Youth MH)

Our Outpatient services specialize in treatment mental health and substance use disorders with treatment and skills groups, as well as community resources.
Outpatient programs provide trauma-informed care aimed at reducing the harmful impacts of substance use. Participants and their counselors work collaboratively to design an integrated, individualized, strengths-based treatment experience geared towards addressing each client’s specific needs and goals. Outpatient programs provide Individual and group therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, crisis intervention, and connection to social support services.

The Clinical Therapist will provide co-occurring treatment to youth in an outpatient setting as well as provide community-based services. The Clinical Therapist provides mental health individual and group therapy based on individualized assessments. Intensity of services is based on the client's stage of change and response to treatment. The Clinical Therapist provides after-hours crisis line support on a rotating basis.
Job Summary
The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for maintaining a caseload, timely documentation, conduct intakes/assessments, collaborate with clients on their treatment plan, provide individual and group therapy, and conduct collateral sessions to support clients in their co-occurring treatment. Clinical Therapist will also work closely with Case Manager to ensure clients are linked to resources needed in the community.

Requirements

- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Current registration with the Board of Behavioral Services
- Pending BBS registration will be considered
- Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese
- First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment
- CPR Certified within 30 days of employment
- Valid California driver’s license
Desired
- Ideal candidate will also have extensive experience with substance use treatment. Certification/registration with a Drug and Alcohol Certification program recognized by DHCS a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with Medi-Cal documentation standards
