JOB SUMMARY
The RPI Client Services Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative support for RPI department. Providing high quality customer service, the RPI Assistant ensures that the administrative needs of the department are met and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Responsibilities: Provides clerical support, including data entry, typing, copying, and other responsibilities. Fills out forms, files, and updates logs. Responsible for dispensing mail to recipients and dispersing checks to clients.
Payee Responsibilities: Conducts intakes on new recipients. Updates and maintains files required to input recipient benefits and issue weekly stipends. Performs basic troubleshooting to resolves recipient issues. Assist recipients in obtaining and maintaining stable living arrangements and negotiating rent.
Departmental Responsibilities: Acts as the liaison to outside agencies. Process checks in the absence of the RPI/Client Services Manager. Performs functions that further the department.
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Required:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-2 years or more experience in an administrative role
Desired:
-Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Background Clearance
Required:
-Must complete a background check and livescan clearance
Knowledge
Required:
-Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population
-Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications
Desired:
-Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency
