HealthRIGHT 360 offers residential treatment services designed to serve individuals and families with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our program helps clients address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive service, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Residential programs run 24/7 and Individual and group therapy, family therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, Medication support services, and crisis intervention.

Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP), a program of HealthRIGHT 360, is a 200-bed residential facility for adult men who are in custody and on parole. We provide comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health services. Treatment episode ranges in time from 6 months to 12 months. This program is a fast-paced environment where communication is paramount to provide cutting edge services to men in a residential treatment setting as well as their families. Our goal is to reintegrate persons served back into the community with the necessary skills to remain substance and crime free.
SUD Counselors are responsible for assessing client needs and strengths in support of health and substance abuse recovery through individual and group counseling, delivering curricula in accordance with program specific requirements. SUD Counselors assist clients in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Individual Treatment Responsibilities: facilitates individual counseling sessions with each caseload client. Provides learning experience opportunities and offers clinical support to assist clients in meeting their treatment goals. Proactively links clients to both internal and external resources based on their treatment needs and follows up on the progress/status.
Treatment Setting Responsibilities: facilitates group counseling sessions and community meetings and teaches classes on various treatment-related topics. Performs crisis intervention and communicates with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise. Documents client updates and incidents in the facility daily log system. Performs periodic program safety checks to ensure and maintain the safety and security of the facility. As needed, accompanies clients to offsite appointments related to their treatment. Attends required trainings and meetings. Maintains a warm, welcoming environment to encourage clients to attend required groups, classes, and individual sessions. May work weekends and holidays.
Documentation Responsibilities: collaborates with each client and other available internal and external resources to develop/maintain treatment plans, transition plans, progress notes and appropriate updates in support of the health and recovery needs of the client. Properly documents all individual and group counseling sessions and completes the discharge paperwork/process and required agency assessments in timely manner. Also, maintains accurate records by data entering documentation into various electronic systems for all caseload clients in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT-360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements. Maintains weekly logs of client contacts and help motivate clients to fulfill their weekly obligations. And other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education Required:
Registration or Certification as Substance Use Disorder Counselor with CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment
- CPR Certified within 30 days of employment
- A valid California driver’s license
Desired:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Bilingual
Background Clearance Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory background check. Applicants must not be on parole or probation due for at least two years due to funding regulations. Qualified candidates with a criminal record will be considered for employment.
- Ability to meet health screening and tuberculosis testing requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDCR live scan fingerprint clearance and the agency's live scan clearance.
