Job Overview
This is a union position.
Will be transporting NCSH clients to medical appointments, court and MAT services Monday thru Friday. NCSH is a women and perinatal program in Escondido.
The Driver is responsible for the transportation needs of the North County Serenity House participants in support of their health and recovery. The Driver will ensure that participants are safely transported to the specified location(s) as designated by the treatment team. The driver will use Motivational Interviewing to promote engagement with the client and sustain follow-through for clients’ treatment plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Drivers are responsible for the maintenance on our vans, gas, oil changes etc.
- Will follow all Healthright 360 Policies and Procedures.
- Will treat our clients with respect as well as staff.
- Be prepared and ready to start the day with our clients and we make sure we meet their needs as to getting them to and from appointments on time.
- Will have a daily transportation list.
- Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use maps accurately.
- Performs all related duties as assigned by the Administrative Manager.
- Participates in weekly case conference with the treatment team.
- Coordinate all participants’ appointments with the Primary Counselor.
- To maintain client confidentiality within agency, funder, and state requirements.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be over 21
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid California Class B Driver's license
- Clean Driving Record
- Like to drive
- Work at a fast and steady pace
- Willing to be a team player
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience

Knowledge of transportation equipment for physically disabled
- Ability to clear and maintain agency vehicle insurance coverage
