Advanced Therapy Center - Pool Attendant or LifeGuard
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Lifeguard to join our team at Home of the Innocents. The ideal candidate will be responsible for playing a critical role in maintaining a safe aquatic environment and responding professionally to emergencies.
A Day in the Life
As a lifeguard you will vigilantly monitor swimmers and enforce safety rules while being ready to respond quickly to any emergencies. Lifeguards also maintain equipment and ensure the area remains clean and hazard-free.
Shifts Available
- PRN/Part Time; hours will vary by department needs
- Most Saturday’s
- Sunday OFF
How This Position Contributes to our Mission
- Support management in ensuring operations comply with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, including those from the Health Department and OSHA.
- Complete all necessary documentation, such as reports on exposure to potentially infectious or hazardous materials.
- Maintain all required lifeguard/pool attendant certifications as mandated by HOTI and local government agencies.
- Proactively eliminate hazards and respond swiftly in case of accidents.
- Ensure all equipment and facility areas are well-maintained and that all users adhere to established safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Must have a current lifeguard with CPR/AED and First Aid certification through American Red Cross (or be willing to be recertified as applicable)
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and patiently with all guests.
- Must be knowledgeable of aquatics practices and procedures and local laws that pertain to pools.
- Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously as part of a team.
- Must possess willingness to handle difficult people with tact and enthusiasm.
- Experience working directly with children or special populations preferred.
