A Day in the Life:
The Restorative Aide ensures the safety of children who are clients of HOTI, treating them and their families with respect. The primary role is to provide and monitor structured Restorative Nursing services to assigned residents in collaboration with therapy staff, in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, under the direction of the Vice President of Clinical Services.
Schedule: Full-time, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 32 hours per week.
Restorative Aide Responsibilities:
- Deliver and monitor Restorative Nursing modalities per resident Care Plans
- Promote the mission and values of HOTI
- Adhere to facility procedures, recommending revisions as needed
- Report concerns or suspected abuse immediately
- Encourage resident participation in treatments
- Provide feedback on resident progress to therapists and the Vice President of Clinical Services.
- Complete and submit accurate and timely documentation
- Support direct care staff to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, team members, therapists, and families
- Keep certifications current and participate in ongoing education
- Attend required meetings and trainings
- Use resources wisely to help meet financial objectives
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
- Maintain and recommend equipment and supplies as needed
Restorative Aide Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Certified Nurse Aide certification in good standing with the Kentucky Board of Nursing / State Nurse Aide Registry
- Minimum one year of experience in a hospital or long-term care facility
- Current CPR / Basic Life Support certification
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking
- Good judgment, clinical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with flexibility, integrity, and compassion
