Henderson Engineers is seeking an Enterprise Software Manager to join their team in Lenexa, KS. The Enterprise Software Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, deployment, and support of non-design focused enterprise software systems across the organization. They ensure enterprise software solutions meet business needs, drive operational efficiency, and support innovation. The Enterprise Software Manager leads software lifecycle management, user training, and the exploration of new tools and technologies to enhance user experience and system productivity.
Minimum Qualifications for the Role are:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field required. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise software management, development, or deployment required, including 3 years managing or leading development environments using Microsoft Power Apps or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and related enterprise software platforms, including Power Automate and Power BI is required.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle management, including development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Proven track record of managing the full lifecycle of custom software applications, including deployment and maintenance.
- Experience in creating and implementing training programs for software tools and applications.
- Experience in managing application integrations and enhancing system productivity through custom tool development.
- API integration and scripting experience for custom tool development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address software performance issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into user-friendly training and support programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Microsoft Power Apps, Power Platform, or other related software tools are preferred.
Skills and Duties you will be Responsible for while in this role:
Development Environment & Tool Deployment Platform:
- Build and maintain a development environment for creating custom tools and applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
- Administer and optimize the enterprise software tool deployment platform, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows and ease of use for end-users.
Software Concept Planning & Lifecycle Management:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define user requirements for custom and 3rd party enterprise applications and tools.
- Lead the initial concepting and design processes to meet business needs with software solutions.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of custom and 3rd party enterprise applications, from development, customization, and deployment to ongoing maintenance and upgrades, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Serve as the SME in software related contract negotiations.
Training & Support:
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for enterprise software users to ensure effective tool usage and provide troubleshooting support as needed.
- Manage support teams to address any issues that arise during daily software operations, ensuring user satisfaction.
- Respond to service desk tickets related to enterprise software systems in a timely and efficient manner, resolving escalated service desk tickets.\
