Henderson Engineers is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Analyst to join our organization. The Lead Business Intelligence Analyst will support strategic consulting services in delivering high-impact, data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making and business growth for clients. They utilize user-centered data reporting and deep understanding of business intelligence in client-facing environments to combine market research, competitive intelligence, data visualization, and strategic advisory to translate complex information into actionable recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications for the Role are:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as statistics, finance, economics, or business required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 8 years of relevant experience in roles involving strategic data analysis, business intelligence, or consulting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and financial analysis, and experience with data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong communication skills, with experience presenting complex information to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and impactful way.
- Demonstrated experience creating visually captive presentations, reports and client facing collateral using innovative aids such as AI generated content, interactive graphs, and data visualizations.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams and time zones.
- Strong project management and time management skills, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the AEC industry and knowledge of building sustainability and operational technology is a plus.

Data Analysis & Business Insights:
- Conduct comprehensive market research and scenario planning to anticipate client business needs and identify industry trends.
- Perform in-depth analyses to forecast and evaluate potential business challenges and opportunities, delivering actionable insights for leadership and clients.
- Support strategy development by providing clear, well-researched analyses that inform critical business and operational decisions.
Data Visualization & Reporting:
- Develop compelling, user-friendly data visualizations and reports to enable internal and external stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Ensure that data insights are communicated in an intuitive, visually appealing manner, contributing to final work products delivered to clients.
- Create data-driven narratives and strategic recommendations for leadership, ensuring clear, concise, and impactful presentations.
Collaboration & Client Engagement:
- Work cross-functionally with leadership, consultants, and project managers to support client objectives, from market research to business strategy formulation.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to provide data-driven insights for targeted messaging and campaigns that align with client needs.
- Assist project teams with resource planning, task tracking, and scheduling, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Benchmarking & Competitive Intelligence:
- Conduct benchmarking analyses of industry markets and competitors to assess areas of opportunity and driving strategic competitiveness for clients.
- Continuously monitor and update data sources to ensure accuracy, reliability, and relevance in a fast-changing market landscape.
- Leverage internal and external relationships to enhance business growth and align industry innovations with client needs.
Innovation & Process Improvement:
- Recommend innovative approaches to enhance research capabilities, improve key performance indicators (KPIs), and streamline reporting processes.
- Apply advanced analytical frameworks and methodologies to solve complex strategy challenges, fostering continuous improvement in client engagement and internal processes.
