Responsibilities:
- Provide sales and customer support for Instrumentation & Actuated Valves within the assigned geography of responsibility.
- Provide product training and assist vendors with coordinated training efforts for the branch offices of responsibility.
- Work with existing sales teams to support all sales efforts.
- Establish long-term relationships with target customers, engineers and industry OEMs.
- Meet with engineering companies, construction managers and equipment vendors as needed.
- Coordinate vendor efforts to secure product approvals and specifications.
- Maintain and coordinate a list of target projects and customers in Fastrack.
- Resolve customer issues; developing solutions, preparing reports and recommending any corrective actions.
- Prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ) letters for vendors to be used on the project.
- Review data to determine product and material conformance to project specifications.
- Communicate project progress to Branch personnel involved with the project.
- Proactively increase sales and profits for Harrington’s Instrumentation & Actuated Valve products by targeting new and existing customers with the highest potential for increased sales.
- Prepare, generate, and maintain itineraries, call and activity reports, account information, project opportunities and details in Harrington’s CRM system.
- Attend regional trade shows as a technical leader
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 7 years experience in sales and service of instrumentation, either manufacturer or distributor
- Strong background as a technical leader
- Experience in water treatment, chemical processing, and metal finishing industries
- Ability to uncover customer needs and create solutions
- Ability to travel 25% - 40% within the assigned geography
- Strong verbal, analytical, and computer skills
