PumpMan Cleveland has an exciting opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Maple Heights, OH.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in technical sales, a passion for cultivating client relationships, and a deep understanding of the Cleveland and Ohio territory.
Key Requirements:
- At least 7+ years of experience with pumps, motors, and equipment associated with the water and wastewater industry
- Willingness to commute regularly within the state of Ohio
- Strong technical knowledge of pumps, motors, and equipment used in the water & wastewater industry
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Existing contacts in the Cleveland municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors (highly desirable)
Responsibilities:
- Grow the direct Municipal, Industrial, and Commercial sales markets in Cleveland and surrounding areas within Ohio
- Prospecting local businesses for replacement, maintenance, and service needs.
- Provide technical advice and customized solutions to customers
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
- Follow-up on incoming sales and service leads
- Maintain relationships with customers, provide ongoing sales support and service support
- Collaborate with the repair team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion
- Assist with the continued development and expansion of our product offerings
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events in the state of Ohio
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of pumps, motors, repair processes, and industry standards
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Cleveland area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Established network of contacts in Cleveland’s municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to pump and motor systems
- Experience in selling to government agencies or large corporations
