The Role

Hallcon looking for a candidate to join our dynamic team as a Staff Accountant, who will help us successfully support the commuter division account department. You’ll be assisting with the preparation of invoices, month end reconciliations, reviewing journal entries and ensuring proper completeness, accuracy, and reliability of monthly close financials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing detailed monthly invoices and participate in invoice review discussions with clients
  • Review month end journal entries and reconciliation schedules
  • Review balance sheet accounts and compile monthly reconciliation packages for review
  • Process and administer government and agency returns, remittances and filings
  • Assist with all recurring entries for payroll, prepaid and amortization transactions
  • Review accounts payable for accuracy and for generating month end accruals
  • Ad-hoc research or analysis projects as requested
  • Other tasks as requested

 

Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to meet each essential duty and responsibility to a satisfactory level.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel features including Pivots and VLookups
  • Conduct statistical analysis to develop insights, interpret patterns and trends, and draw valid conclusions for management reporting purposes
  • Computerized accounting system experience, Intacct experience a plus. 


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience at a medium to large sized institution
