Job Summary

The Compliance Assistant supports the Director of Safety with managing the day-to-day regulatory and contractual requirements for our drivers and vehicles.

 

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Audits and processes documents to ensure compliance with DOT, state, federal regulations, and customer contractual requirements for vehicles and employees. Communicates timely with operations regarding required documentation.

 

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements

  • Previous office experience and/or training preferred. Experience and/or training in DOT regulations preferred but not required.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include tone, pitch, volume and the ability to discern direction of sound.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to follow direction from supervisors and work as a member of a cross-functional team.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a normal office environment with occasional travel. This position occasionally can be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Extended computer monitor viewing and keyboarding exists. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
