Position Overview

 

The Quality Assurance Auditor conducts internal audits at the HAECO facilities to verify compliance with HAECO, FAA, and customer policies and procedures. The Quality Assurance Auditor is also responsible to conduct vendor audits and perform investigations.

 

  1. Conduct routine facility audits and surveillance to verify compliance with HAECO, FAA, and customer approved policies and procedures relating to repair station requirements.
  2. Conduct audits and inspections of vendors to ensure the vendor meets HAECO and FAA quality standards.
  3. Perform investigations as assigned by the Manager of Quality Assurance.
  4. Conduct periodic audits of receiving discrepancies to ensure continued quality of vendor products.
  5. Identify systematic problems with the functioning of HAECO policies and procedures.
  6. Maintain adequate records of discrepancies noted and corrective action taken. Perform follow-up audits to identify and prevent recurrent problems.
  7. Place emphasis on recurring problems as assigned.
  8. Be authorized to act on behalf of the repair station with regard to approval of vendors and resolution of FAA and customer identified regulatory discrepancies.
  9. Continually monitor for any RSM, QCM, FAR, safety, and/or operating procedure violations.
  10. Record discrepancies on designated forms.
  11. Perform on-site inspections and audits of vendors/agencies to ensure basic requirements are met in regard to certifications, facilities manuals, tooling, safety, and standard practices.
  12. Ensure accountability to conduct themselves within all guidelines of company, FAA, and customer policies, work rules, and regulations (ex. Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), Airworthiness Agreements), etc.
  13. Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the HAECO Safety Manual. 

 

  

What you need: (Requirements)

 

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
  3. Basic computer skills.
  4. A thorough understanding of FAR (14 CFR) parts 21, 25,43,65,91,121,125,129, and 145.
  5. A thorough understanding of the EASA 145 Rule.
  6. Must have no travel restrictions.
  7. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  8. Five (5) or more years experience on large commercial type aircraft.
  9. Able to work with minimal supervision.
  10. Read, write and understand the English language.
  11. Must have the ability to lead people and accept responsibility.
  12. Subject to noises in excess of 85 dB.
  13. Legible handwriting.
  14. Capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds.
  15. Normal or corrected hearing.
  16. Minimum visual acuity of 20/40 corrected.
  17. Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders and/or service stands.

 

Preferred:

  1. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  2. Professional certification as auditor.
  3. Possess a valid passport for international travel.
