Position Overview

 

The Receiving Inspector is responsible to the Supervisor Inspection. Inspect both incoming and outgoing material for quality and conformance to specifications and/or other applicable requirements. 

 

  • Monitor daily deliveries, accept or reject shipments that are not received in satisfactory condition. 
  • Separate delivered items by priority and/or department. 
  • Open, inspect, check condition, correct documentation and quality of each item and verify items are in accordance with the requirements of the purchase order. 
  • Reject and identify all decrepit items, annotate this information in computer system and place item in bond. 
  • Receive all items, which are acceptable into the computer system. 
  • Monitor outgoing shipments for proper documentation and packing. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Inspection Supervisor. 

 

 

What you need: (Requirements)

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience as a technician and/or inspector in a commercial aircraft environment, or previous demonstrated ability with HAECO. Up to four years Military Aviation may be applied if experience was on transport category type aircraft
  • A&P or Repairman Certificate with Parts Inspection Limitation
  • Must have basic knowledge of computer systems.
  • Must have working knowledge of aircraft documentation.
  • Read, write and understand the English language.
  • May be exposed to inclement weather.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time, climbs steps and/or service stands. 
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds unassisted.
  • Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.
