SCVIA Lead Custodian - 622504

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To deliver high quality custodial services to all Federal contract locations contracted with South Carolina Vocations & Individual Advancement, INC. (SCVIA).
To encourage and promote a mutual associate/customer relationship which enhances the profitability of the SCVIA.
To represent SCVIA in a professional manner to reflect values and standards of its mission and goals.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To provide general custodial services to all SCVIA’s contract locations such as cleaning carpet, tile, windows, mirrors, fixtures, etc. as scheduled.
2. To perform maintenance of hard surface floors and all carpeted surfaces; to perform cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms, stripping and waxing of floors and cleaning/spot cleaning/vacuuming of carpets.
3. To perform floor care services and general custodial processes in an efficient and cost effective manner.
4. To perform outside work such as, but not limited to, keeping sidewalks clean and picking up trash.
5. To perform general housekeeping, custodial and janitorial duties as may be scheduled and assigned.
6. To perform all other duties that may be assigned.
Education: Prefer High School diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience: Two years of experience in minor maintenance and custodial work preferred. May be required to maintain a valid SC Drivers license with limited points for violations where driving is required. Must have and maintain a criminal background consistent with SCVIA values as well as meeting Federal requirements while working on any SCVIA contracts.
Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do work outdoors.
Safety & Security: Must comply with all safety personal protective equipment such as safety goggles, hearing protection, safety gloves, etc. as necessary to perform each task while operating powered equipment or any task that would expose the individual to undue risks.
Work Hours: As assigned to meet the professional requirements of the job. May be tasked to work weekends and nights as required.
Work Attire: Each associate should present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that will be reflective of SCVIA’s positive image in the community.
