Plumber/Beverage Systems Technician

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the overall repairs, maintenance and installations of the plumbing and beverage systems. This includes Lambeau Field, Titletown, and other Green Bay Packers properties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the general plumbing needs of the facility. Repair and install all types of plumbing fixtures. Clear drains and develop solutions to prevent drain restrictions as needed. Maintain pipe insulation as needed.
- Join pipe by brazing, soldering, gluing, screwing, grooving, pressing, and no-hub.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of surge tank.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of sump pumps for elevators, sanitary ejector pumps, vault pump outs, and general use pumps.
- Maintain domestic water and sanitary sewer systems, including operation and maintenance of valves.
- Maintain exterior parking lot storm drains and exercise water service valves annually.
- Maintain trench drains, no hub drains, hub drains, floor sinks, and shower drains throughout the facility. Flush and clean as needed. Develop maintenance plans to keep traps from drying out. Investigate calls on sewage smells.
- Maintain and document chlorine chemical system for hot water in team facility.
- Service, install, repair, modify, maintain, winterize, and clean the beverage systems throughout the facility.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of valves on CO2 system.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining Hydrotherapy Pools.
- Repair and install grease traps. Assist in cleaning as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring all parts of the cross-connection control devices on the domestic water system are in position and in proper working order at all Packers owned properties. This includes the testing and upkeep of backflow preventers and filing of all state reports.
- Procure contractors for various jobs, ensure work is completed on time and budget to appropriate standards.
- Assist in budget preparation for beverage system and plumbing supplies. Research options and provide recommendations and cost estimates for repairs and replacements to ensure building is maintained in the best interest of the Green Bay Packers. Forecast needs for future repairs/replacements. Order materials or parts directly from vendors. Maintain plumbing and HVAC pipe fitting bin stock inventory.
- Must comply with all plumbing codes and OSHA safety standards. Understand and perform all job duties in accordance with the appropriate operating procedures and instructions relative to all environmental and safety requirements and regulations governing the work area.
- Complete game day tasks including opening and closing designated areas of the stadium in a timely manner.
- Participate in on-call rotation for snow removal team. Lead snow crew during the snow removal process.
- Operate the following types of equipment: Fork truck, aerial lifts, snowplows, Bobcat, Toolcat, Skid steer, and UTVs.
- Maintain fire hydrants.
- Assist with ice machine cleaning.
- Assist in other maintenance areas as directed by supervisor.
- Able to respond to emergency calls after hours, as necessary. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, including every home game and certain stadium events. Shift work and on call may be required.
Qualifications:
- Complete necessary schooling and apprenticeship in plumbing field.
- Minimum of 7 years commercial plumbing experience.
- Must possess a current, state certified journeyman plumbing license. Participate in ongoing education on current plumbing codes and any changes.
- Must possess a current cross connection control tester license.
- Some knowledge of beverage systems helpful.
- Able to correctly read blueprints and schematics and keep as built drawings up to date with new additions and any changes.
- Possess or be willing to obtain certification to operate ariel lifts and fork lifts.
- Exposed to disagreeable environmental conditions including dirt, noise, extreme temperatures, heights, cramped workspaces, confined spaces, and areas or tasks where caution must be exercised to ensure safety.
- Must be extremely self-motivated, hardworking, and competent enough to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to listen to and accurately follow directions.
- Must have excellent trouble shooting skills and be a team player. Must have ability to adapt to spur of the moment changes.
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin drivers’ license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to walk, reach, bend, and twist for entire shift.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and push/pull heavy objects.
- Will be exposed to disagreeable environmental conditions, including working outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Comfortable and self-motivated to work alone for extended periods of time.
- Operates in a professional environment.
