Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipping.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise a team of 11 employees across a 24/7 operation.
• Maintain packaging supplies for the foundry finishing department and create requisitions for ordering.
• Schedule pick-ups online, email or by phone for customers that require advanced notice.
• Maintain department equipment/supplies (spotter, trailers, fork trucks, docks, radios, printers, labels etc.)
• Work with all departments on setting expedite trucking requests.
• Billing: Create loads; create packing slips; call in trucks.
• Receiving: Verify raw materials and packages (UPS, FED EX, etc.) with their packing slips; deliver packages to internal locations; scan packing slips and POs to appropriate staff person.
• UPS/Freight: Package; create packing slips; create shipping label (example; putting parts in boxes), returning parts for maintenance.
• Rate Quotes: Use online sites to receive rate quotes for all products for which we pay freight.
• Customer Service: Answer phone; help customers (order questions, truckers who need directions, misc. questions).
• Maintain the Company’s finished goods casting inventory.
• Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.

What We Need from You:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three-years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units.
• The temperature of the work area may be affected by outside temperatures.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
