Youth Development Leader & Van Driver
This role fills a strategic function supporting families in our Seacoast community by ensuring youth have access to quality and enriching afterschool care, while enabling working parents to continue supporting their families and workplaces. Paid Van Driver certification and training is available for qualified applicants.
Position Specifics:
Work Shifts: Monday – Friday 1:30 – 3:30p (as a Van Driver)
Additional hours available as a YD Group Leader in the Afterschool program Mon-Fri 3:30 – 6:00p
Applicants must be 21 years or older with a clean driving record
Pay Range: $15 - $17hr
Route Description: Driving route starts at Camp Gundalow in Greenland, NH with student pickups at Little Harbour School and the Seacoast Y. The students will then be dropped off at Camp Gundalow with a second run to pick up students at the YMCA of the Seacoast branch and return them to the camp.
Essential Functions:
- Safely transport students along designated route, abiding by YMCA Transportation guidelines
- While working in an afterschool program, lead and participate in enrichment activities with youth such as STEM and craft projects, homework support, sports and rec activities, and character-building curriculum
- Act as a positive role model for youth and uphold the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
