PAY RANGE: $108,500.00 - $140,000.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Operations Executive Program Manager provides strategic counsel, hands-on responsibilities, execution and communication support to the Executive Vice President, Head of Operations as well as the operations senior leadership team. The role is integral to a Golden 1 operations productivity, effectiveness and achieving long-term strategic goals.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Strategic Advising: Serves as a high-level trusted advisor for senior leadership; acting as a strategic thought partner, confidante and sounding board; engaging in brainstorming freely, option analysis and challenging assumptions to provide transformative strategic guidance on key initiatives and decisions
- Operational Framework: Establishes seamless processes and management routines that drive operational excellence; Translates complex concepts into practical, sustainable solutions, leveraging automation, process simplification, and enhanced reporting for long-term efficiency.
- Influential Leadership: Acts as a catalyst for innovation and change among peers, leading strategic initiatives and coordinating cross-functional teams with strong influence and without direct authority, showcasing exemplary leadership to drive results.
- Project Oversight: Overseeing high-impact strategic projects and directing cross-functional teams that advance the operations brand, image, culture, and engagement initiatives, as well as enhances talent management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Leading and managing cross-functional teams; providing clear decision-making framework , data-driven insights, and recommendations to achieve strategic goals across operational domains.
- Strategic Communication: Handling internal and external communications, and managing communications with the credit union executive leadership team; identifying and closing communication gaps, and streamlining how information is shared between departments
- Building Relationships: Fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and cultivating relationships with partner organizations and thought leaders; promote positive, collaborative working environment that enhances the credit union’s brand reputation and operational success.
- Organizational Development: Review, design, and execute improvements to organizational structure; find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them; lead operations training and development agenda
- Strategic Planning & Change Management: Strategizes and facilitates key initiatives, and manages change initiatives including budgeting and vendor contracting
- Execution of Strategic Vision: Translates strategic objectives into actionable plans striving for innovation promoting a culture of innovation and accountability; Drives initiatives from concept through completion with metrics to measure success and impact.
- Anticipating Challenges: Helping the Head of Operations anticipate and head off challenges and avoid surprises
- Evaluation: Monitoring and evaluating operations strategic performance metrics
- Crisis management: Support crisis management situations effectively and efficiently
- Executive Support: Supporting Head of Operations with administrative and strategic needs

- INTERNAL: All levels of retail staff, enterprise staff and executive management.
- EXTERNAL: Members, credit union industry associations, community and strategic partners, and other internal and external individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field
- EXPERIENCE:
- Nine or more years of experience in a business management or executive role
- Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
- Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Experience in data analysis and budget management
- Proven success in a project coordination role
- KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
- Corrected vision within the normal range.
- Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs. as may be required.
- Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
- Limited local and statewide travel by car or public conveyance.
- Unusually long work hours may be required to accomplish tasks.
