PAY RANGE: $98,600.00 - $120,000.00 ANNUALLY

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Member Market Development Officer is a dynamic, outgoing, and engaging professional responsible for identifying, developing, and building relationships with market segments, nonprofits, businesses, and other groups where we can provide financial solutions for growth. The officer will actively seek to establish and nurture partnerships with these entities, identifying mutual goals and opportunities for joint initiatives that benefit both the organization and segments themselves. This includes developing relationships, strategic alliances, coordinating joint events and programs, and leveraging these relationships to provide financial solutions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across the enterprise in order to bring value, service and solutions to groups that would benefit from what we have to offer.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:

  1. Member Engagement:
    • Develop and implement programs that foster meaningful connections between members.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and other communication to better understand member needs and how we can provide solutions to meet them.
    • Serve as an advisor and partner to members, providing guidance on Golden 1’s products and services how they can assist to best deliver them to the member.
  1. Segment Engagement:
    • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local businesses, non-profit organizations, governmental agencies and NGO’s..
    • Coordinate joint financial programs, events, and projects to provide solutions and engagement.
  1. Strategic Alignment and Communication:
    • Leverage digital platforms to provide options for member and segment engagement.
    • Develop and execute digital communication strategies to promote G1 programs, events, and initiatives.
    • Provide a modern image, brand, and culture in all that we do.
    • Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of digital outreach efforts and make data-driven decisions to improve engagement. Prepare regular reports on program outcomes, member engagement metrics, impact, and results.
    • Collaborate with other departments throughout the enterprise to ensure cohesive messaging and a team approach to member development.

 

PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:

  1. Strong oral, presentation development and delivery, and written communication skills required
  2. Proven relationship building and relationship management skills required.
  3. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. INTERNAL:  All levels of management and staff.
  2. EXTERNAL:  Members, segments, governmental agencies, NGO’s, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of seven years of branch leadership or business development within a retail sales or financial institution. Must have established connections within the local community, including influential leaders and non-profit organizations.
  3. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of California Credit Union Law and Regulations.
  • Knowledge of the sound practice of business administration.
  • Solid Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Proven ability to meet and/or exceed individual service and sales goals.
  • Solid knowledge of financial concepts, and products and services offered by Golden 1.
  • Professional (Verbal/Written Communication and Presence).
  • Demonstrated positive demeanor and outgoing attitude.
  • Professional(Verbal/Written Communication and Presence) outreach skills to identify and contact potential members through a variety of outreach strategies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Must be able to travel regularly within the assigned territory (up to 75% of schedule).
    2. Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
    3. Corrected vision within the normal range.
    4. Hearing within normal range.  A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
    5. Ability to lift 30 lbs. as may be required. 
    6. Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
    7. Unusually long work hours may be required to accomplish tasks.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Possession of a valid California driver's license is required.
