Assist in all phases of Plant machine operations (including Legacy) as needed for breaks, vacations, changes or special projects. Keep up to date with any ongoing machine improvements. The Digital Press Operator requires machine set-ups and operations, calibrating and maintaining the machine, and measuring tolerances. The position will also be trained on the Zund Cutter. POSITION SUMMARY   Direct the duties of the third shift crew to produce the finest quality product at rates and standards consistent with the Company’s desire to be a Preferred Supplier of cost-effective, top-quality products.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.  OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.   Responsible for safety, quality and efficiency of Vboard machine and crew. Effectively and efficiently operate Vboard machine to maintain production goals. Provide crew leadership and coordinate crew. Lead communications with crew and plant leadership. Support and lead training efforts. Proficient in all areas of the Vboard machine. Meet performance metrics.  Document and communicate in glass wall. Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on all equipment. Ability to satisfactorily perform all Vboard duties. Participate in continuous improvement and effectively communicate opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position. All other reasonable duties as required.   ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES   Assist in all phases of machine and department operation as needed for breaks, changes, or special projects. Keep up to date with any ongoing machine improvements. Maintain cleanliness to ensure safety of all personnel. Ensure good communication between shifts.     KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED   The Crew Leader must hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Perform electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, HVAC, and concrete work. Accurately carry out and assist in the development of preventative maintenance procedures.
