POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for mechanical repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance to all production and facility equipment in addition to installation of said equipment in the plant, warehouse, and office areas by performing the following duties. Electromechanical skill set is a must!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

1. Performs predictive and preventative repairs of all equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

2. Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motors and drives, PLC, and instrumentation and process controls.

3. Determines the existence of electrical hazards and problems.  Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits for electrical apparatus for repairs.

4. Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, and the operation of automated and robotic systems.

5. Adheres and actively participates in lock out/tag out practices and procedures.  Keeps all documentation up to date of lock out/tag out and works with Safety Director to maintain safe practices. 

6. Assists Operations Manager, supervisors, and maintenance lead with the operation of the predictive and preventative maintenance program.

7. Inspects and ensures that all operating machines and equipment conform to electrical and mechanical operational quality standards.

8. Assists with the implementation of new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of equipment, labor and materials.

9. Requisitions tools, electrical test equipment and maintenance supplies required for plant operation. 

10. Keeps an up-to-date inventory and file of all machine parts and maintenance supplies.

11. Confers with plant manager, production manager, supervisors, and other appropriate personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machines, equipment and processes.

12. Keeps maintenance area neat, clean and orderly; cleans up after completing maintenance work throughout the plant.

13. Monitors building and exterior grounds to keep all areas clean and neat.

14. Records and files complete machine histories relating to maintenance problems and cures, trouble shooting methods, services required, spare parts and parts vendors.

15. Regular and reliable attendance.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Knows, understands and follows all plant safety rules, general rules and procedures.

2. Remains current on changes in policies, procedures and product information, attending authorized training programs and seminars.

3. Be available for monthly safety meetings, on-call and overtime work.

4. Annual, semi- annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly & daily Inspections.

5. Manage & distribute Maintenance PO numbers.

6. Misc. Duties as assigned

Salary 

Dependent on prior experience, starting wage between $31.00 to $34.00

 

Hours

This is a hybrid of first & second shift.  Position will be 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm Monday through Thursday.  For training, schedule for the first 60 days will be 7:00  am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday.
