Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist ensures accurate accounting records for invoicing and collection, and will be the lead sales tax accountant. This candidate will prepare and process invoices on a daily basis and post to subsidiary accounts while verifying for accuracy.  This person will maintain our sales tax system which includes reviewing and updating customer tax information.  They will interpret and provide guidance on transactions, tax law and regulations as it relates to customers claiming exempt sales and determining proper sales tax treatment on invoicing.  Actively participates in and contributes to the team concept of Great Northern Corporation.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Accounting or related business area
• 2-4 years practical experience

Pay/Schedule

• Commensurate with experience
• 8am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday
