Job Summary: A Front Desk Agent is responsible for checking hotel guests in and out of their rooms and ensures customers have a satisfying and enjoyable stay.
 
Essential Functions:
 

  • Greets guests, check guests in and out of their rooms.
  • Ensures that every guest has an enjoyable experience at the hotel. 
  • Answer guest inquires including recommending activities and restaurants. 
  • Maintain safety of guest’s luggage when houseman is not available.
  • Manage online and phone reservations.
  • Manage updated records of bookings and payments. 
  • Obtain guests contact details and stay dates.
  • Process all payments and verify credit card data. 
  • Provide information about hotel, available rooms, rates, amenities, and payment options. 
  • Responds to guests’ complaints in a professional and timely manner. 
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests.
  • Upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Must possess computer literacy. 
  • Must possess a professional, polished image through in-person and phone interaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Well-developed and multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and keep strictly confidential.
  • Candidate must be dependable and reliable.

  • The employee is frequently required to stand and walk

  • Normal Office Environment
  • The noise level in this office is usually mild to moderate

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma and or equivalent
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however, not required
