Peer Recovery Support Manager
Summary
The function of this position is to assist the Community Behavioral Health Senior Manager in the development and implementation of Peer Recovery Support services. The Peer Recovery Support Manager will also provide Peer Recovery Support direct services, training, and mentoring of those in the community seeking to become Certified Peer Recovery Supporters, and supervision of Peer Recovery Supporters employed by GESMV including Peer Recovery Support Facilitator. Collaboration and communication with Montgomery County ADAMHS, OMHAS, community behavioral health providers, and GESMV staff is essential in this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities supervised by an appropriately licensed practitioner include:
1. Informs clients of limits to confidentiality and rights regarding services delivered.
2. Provides Peer Recovery Support services within supervised scope of practice in collaboration with clients.
3. May refer clients for emergency consultation and crisis assessment intervention.
4. Maintains efficient and timely documentation of services within GESMV Behavioral Health guidelines.
5. Integrates services and/or makes referrals to appropriate professionals or outside agencies as indicated.
6. Collaborate with Community Behavioral Health Senior Manager in the development and implementation of Peer Recovery Support Services to address community needs.
7. Participates in the assessment of programs needs and peer review, as well as cooperates with performance improvement and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) as defined.
8. Performs community outreach, information, referral, and education assignments, as well as consultation services as approved by supervisor.
9. Complies with confidentiality and protected health information rules including FERPA and HIPPA.
10. Attends community meetings, GESMV staff meetings, in-services, case conferences, supervision sessions, etc., as scheduled.
11. Complies with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, OHMAS, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned, including support activities as needed to augment functioning of the agency.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Community Behavioral Health Senior Manager may administratively supervise the work of Peer Recovery Facilitator, Peer Recovery Supporters, interns, and volunteers.
Education Requirements
Must be certified as a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter, Certified Peer Recovery Support Supervisor, and Certified Peer Recovery Supporter Trainer. Must maintain up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications.
Experience Requirements
Must have a minimum of five years of practice experience in a behavioral health setting providing and supervising Peer Recovery Support Services.

- Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
