Referral and Recruitment Coordinator
Oversee incoming referrals and inquiries for services to Developmental Disabilities Department and assist with the screening and hiring of new program staff . Maintain and create local partnerships; market and expand existing services; establish cooperative agreements, which extend to service provision associated with the GESMV mission.
1. Manage all incoming referrals and inquiries abouts services provided in DD Services which include Adult Day, Homemaker Personal Care, Community Employment, and Job Com programs.
2. Remain knowledgeable about GESMV’s DD Services Programs to market and inform referral sources and community about current opportunities as well the overall awareness of services provided. Present programs, informally and formally, to interested parties including potential participants, their families, residential caregivers, the local County Boards of Developmental Disability Services and other team members.
3. Maintain open communication with department Director and Managers to facilitate new referral process, establish waiting lists and maintain appropriate census. Maintain accurate knowledge of up-coming new opportunities, services, and extended locations.
4. Act as primary liaison with local referring agencies; ensure active communication regarding progress of all referrals. Maintain a positive relationship with personnel of referral and other social service agencies to extent that mutual problems can be resolved, and services adapted to meet the individual needs of common clientele.
5. Complete intake process for new referrals including but not limited to, responding to initial referrals, facilitating individual team meetings, and following all processes for new starts in internal systems. As appropriate, assist with new hire paperwork, on-boarding, drug and background checks as needed to facilitate new work opportunities.
6. Collaborate with Human Resources division to identify potential DD staff members. Assist with completing initial job screenings and, coordinate interviews with Managers and Director for candidates which may include assisting with conducting the interviews on behalf of the Managers and Director
7. Assist with creating and updating marketing materials which may include, but not limited to newsletters, program flyers, event flyers, and social media posts.
8. Assist with visiting various DD locations to take pictures and gather content for marketing materials and social media outlets.
9. Attend any provider and informational fairs to market programs available with DD Services.
10. Demonstrate knowledge of broad range of occupations, volunteer and recreational opportunities, and other non- profit opportunities. Maintain excellent relationships with non-profit volunteer, recreational sites, and potential employers. Assist with identification of new volunteer and work opportunities for Job and Community Connections.
11. Meet or exceed individual departmental program goals as established with supervisor, including overall census, daily attendance, and placement.
12. Ensure knowledge of all software and systems utilized for daily, weekly, and monthly data entry. Ensures compliance of all data entry.
13. Assist, as assigned, with operations to ensures adherence to all requirements related to specific funding sources. Maintain records, submit weekly reports as required, and provide input to referral sources regarding individual placement and program progress. Provide weekly and monthly reports to Quality Assurance. Ensure that paperwork is in compliance with GESMV guidelines and regulations. Monitor case records and report generation to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
14. Assist with reporting necessary statistical data to ensure that participants are assigned in making timely and appropriate vocational decisions and so the accountability/requirements of the Agency can be satisfied.
15. Develop professional relationships with key organizational and community stakeholders through individual presentations, meetings, and other avenues to maintain ongoing contact.
16. Assist program Managers and Director in identifying organizational and community meetings, task forces, or other ongoing meetings requiring GESMV representation. Attend meetings as assigned.
17. Stays compliant and trained in First Aid, CPR, AED, Medication Administration, and all other required yearly and monthly trainings.
18. Completes other job duties as assigned.
19. Complies with all Agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas and maintains same to meet CARF, HIPPA, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.

Minimum of high school diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and face to face communication and perform functions on computer to complete financial records, case notes and reports. Previous experience working with people with disabilities.

Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Employee must have reliable transportation as a means of transporting assigned referrals to job interviews in the community, attend meetings, etc.
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
