Medical Equipment Loan Program Specialist
Summary
Coordinate efficient and effective processes for target populations i.e. consumers, patients, insurance companies, nurses and others, acquire durable medical equipment. Actively solicit a surplus of durable medical equipment. Create and maintain a durable medical equipment inventory database. Coordinate equipment cleaning and renovation with identified supported and/or vocational rehabilitation programs and personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Coordinate loans of durable medical equipment to the individuals in need.
2. Provide instruction of persons served utilizing equipment safely.
3. Market potential donors of durable medical equipment by contacting new community partners.
4. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
5. Assure cleanliness of equipment loaned.
6. Track referral sources, number of equipment loaned, and people served.
7. Train volunteers/employees/participants to clean, repair and distribute equipment.
8. Create a positive environment for learning.
9. Develop and maintain on-going communication with program supervisors as needed regarding participants vocational participation in the program.
10. Follow-up contact to maintain waiting list items.
11. Follow-up contact to those who have borrowed equipment.
12. Ensuring surveys and/or any documentation required for grant or funding purposes is completed.
13. Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintainsame to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience Requirements
Strong computer skills required. Experience in inventory tracking preferred but not required.

- Employee must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.

- Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.

1. Must have general computer knowledge and ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite.

3. Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with good written and verbal communications skills.
4. Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision as well as have the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
5. Must be able to follow through with projects and assignments in a timely and efficient manner.

8. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with a broad spectrum of people; including consumers and employees.
9. Must be self-motivated.
