Maintenance Planner - Location: Cement Plant in Odessa, TX

Experience and abilities you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar engineering degree required.
- Must have 2 or more years’ cement manufacturing experience to be considered.
- Must have a mechanical background with emphasis on planning to be considered.
- Experience in SAP or a similar platform.
- Predictive and preventative maintenance

What you will do:
This position plans, coordinates and tracks the daily maintenance and major repairs for the plant. In addition, they are responsible for documenting and ensuring that the predictive, preventative, and standard operating procedures are documented and up to date.

- Works closely with all departments to prioritize the work schedules and the coordination of all maintenance activities.
- Monitors notifications daily. Investigates all maintenance requests and plans for repair.
- Developing annual, monthly, weekly, and daily work schedules, in addition to the planning of the step-by-step execution of major equipment outages.
- Identify parts required to execute work, tool requirements, manpower requirements, and the estimated completion time.
- Oversee the availability of parts for all work orders scheduled by working closely with the procurement department in ordering, receiving, purchasing of parts and the selection of suppliers to maintain the schedule.
- Ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or procedural changes associated with the work are accurately recorded, and work is closed in a timely manner.
- Consolidate the details of major repairs; create the SOPs for critical and recurrent jobs.
- Manage SAP user and PM workorder backlog.
- Participate in the creation and modification in SAP of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Work closely with the procurement department in controlling and reducing inventory by establishing and reviewing maximums/minimums, critical parts list, reordering of parts, and identifying obsolete parts.
- Responsible for maintaining and keeping up to date the Bill of Materials (BOM) records.
- Develop and maintain files such as: Blueprints, equipment lists, suppliers list, operating and maintenance manuals, drawings, checklists, spare parts lists, corrective maintenance details, maintenance history.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in the preparation of the annual maintenance budget.
- Facilitate planning meetings to recommend the necessary repairs based on input from the Production and other plant departments.
- Manage the communication of the weekly maintenance plan including Preventive, Corrective and outage planning.
- Lead the planning/scheduling of the major shutdown and provide support & coordination during execution stage.
- On occasion and as needed, supervise contractors and mechanical maintenance team in the field.
- Participate in the on-call schedule by being the primary contact and direct supervisor of emergency repair work.
- Works with CI team to ensure all goals, KPI projects and ideas are entered at Enablon system.
- Set the proper example in attitude, punctuality, and use of Continuous Improvement tools.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
