Scope of Work: The Instructional Designer develops learning experiences and materials that lead to transfer and application of new skills and knowledge. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, presenting, and assessing learning opportunities and programming for all Gaylor employees.
Responsibilities
- Design and revamp both new and established learning materials
- Identify the appropriate learning approach
- Maintain industry standards and research innovations in learning design and education
- Implement feedback from program reviews and course evaluations
- Evaluate new learning materials
- Train others on how to deliver learning material
- Assist with maintenance of the learning management system
- Train all employees on how to use the learning management system
- Become a subject matter expert on various operating software, as needed, in order to facilitate training to all employees
- Create educational pod-casts, videos, presentations, and e-learning content
- Prepare and present learning materials to target audience(s), in person and virtually
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors’ degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience: Previous experience with training and/or education, preferably in a corporate learning environment
- SPECIALIZED SKILLS: High level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, organization skills, and must be technology/computer proficient.
