Salary range for this role is $85,100 - $129,400. This role is on-site in Linden, NJ.

As the Manager of Fulfillment, you are the on-site leader responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, including inventory control, as well as managing order fulfillment and shipping. Your role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and complete and timely order fulfillment to meet customer expectations. Additionally, you collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between fulfillment and manufacturing processes. You report directly to the VP of Fulfillment and have a dotted line into the Director of Manufacturing on site. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all warehouse operations, covering receiving, storage, staging, waste management, and inventory control. Additionally, oversee pick-and-pack order fulfillment and shipping to ensure exceptional operational performance.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Manage the team and operations hands-on, not from the desk, to ensure active engagement and a deep understanding of daily floor activities.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, streamline operations for efficiency, and consistently achieve order fulfillment targets to uphold customer satisfaction. Adapt quickly to meet new customer requests promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve supply chain operational performance. Ensure timely closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Implement and optimize the use of software tools and technology to enhance operational efficiency, such as warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking software, and analytics platforms.

 

Qualifications

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in food warehouse management, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role overseeing warehouse and/or fulfillment operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets, focusing on labor cost optimization, waste reduction in food and packaging, and reduction of customer credits, to maximize margins and profitability. Proficient in tactical decision-making to drive cost-saving initiatives and enhance financial performance in targeted areas.
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing software tools and technology to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
  • Proficient in using software tools and technology, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
  • Detailed understanding of food industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, particularly in HR policies, food safety guidelines, and work health safety protocols.
  • Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing process enhancements.
  • Ability to challenge norms, set new standards, think creatively, and drive innovation while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and mitigate risks effectively.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.  We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
