Logistics Analyst III
This role pays between $75,000 to $98,000 plus bonus depending on experience.
In addition to supporting the daily and weekly activities within our fulfillment centers (FCs), you'll build, and implement tools and systems to improve our delivery infrastructure and performance. You will be charged with transforming FreshRealm’s logistics operations, working hand-in-hand with other members of our operations team and fulfillment centers, and shipping carriers. You will use in depth analysis of multiple variables to continuously improve our network and ways of working. An understanding of financial reporting and measurements is critical, as you will work with our Finance team to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and risk management.
This position is responsible for the onboarding of new FreshRealm clients to carrier contracts, service levels and data. You will provide timely updates to clients on performance, escalations and manage the relationship between carriers and clients. You will also be responsible for coordinating invoicing, billing, and markup of invoices between FreshRealm, its clients and its carrier pool. You will provide all clients with reporting of KPIs, as well as managing KPIs to meet or exceed requirements in clients SLA. All clients will be onboarded into the FreshRealm network to allow for achievement of SLA requirements, as well as further network management i.e. renegotiating contracts, linehaul network etc.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible to control logistical costs and stay within budgeted levels

Monitor and track on-time deliveries

Maximize the efficiency of the department and ensure daily service level plan targets are attained

Responsible for improving current processes and activities to promote efficiency, quality service, and reduce operating costs

Responsible for management of carrier contracts

Ensure completion of all necessary administrative work

You will actively resolve customer problems that are raised to you

You will actively resolve client escalations raised

Work with our fulfillment centers and organization to onboard and ramp new clients from a production perspective, using data driven decision making

Establish yourself as a leader to guide other members of the team and organization

Analyze ‘service level delivery issues’ ensuring proper explanation of the reasons for problems and to liaise with other Departments / Managers on addressing the resulting issues

Effectively manage the 3PL resource and control this to within the given budgets / targets for the required output

Improve current processes and activities to promote efficiency, quality service, and reduce operating costs

Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency

Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services

To identify and effectively resolve any problems affecting performance within the Department. To ensure ‘Process Control’ systems are properly implemented and maintained

Responsible for the highest level of health and safety for the employees, agency employees and the consumer

Report and complete ‘Accident / Incident’ forms and conduct any necessary investigation, taking measures to prevent additional problems or reoccurrence
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Skills and Requirements

You will have strong excel skills including the ability to use pivot tables, build basic formulas and manipulating data

Advanced education with at least 2+ years experience in Supply Chain, Direct-to-Consumer, or other similar fields

You will have strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills. If you have previous negotiation, and contractual experience it will be a plus

Ability to work in a cold/ damp environment and stand for extended periods
Experience / Education
-
2+ years of experience in Supply Chain or relevant field

Experience working in a short shelf life fresh food-manufacturing environment applying common supply chain processes, procedures and equipment

Education in Supply Chain is helpful

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education. A degree or other related training or education is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT/WORK CONDITIONS
Working Conditions: Work is primarily conducted in office, however some work may be conducted remotely via technology. This position may also require night and/or weekend work.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position is located on a public street and near retail stores. Employee may be exposed to the general public, vehicles and exhaust. This building has a kitchen that is used on a daily basis. Employee is frequently exposed to food aromas, smoke, and other related cooking and cleaning activities.
