Job Description

The Senior SAP Basis and Security Administrator is responsible for managing SAP BASIS operations, administration, and optimization of SAP landscapes in a cloud environment. This role involves overseeing the implementation and day-to-day operations of SAP S/4HANA systems, ensuring system stability, performance tuning, and compliance with security standards.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, setup, and maintenance of SAP S4/HANA Cloud and SaaS systems in a cloud environment.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of SAP S/4HANA systems, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and transport management.
  • Perform SAP system upgrades, patches, and regular health checks to ensure system stability.
  • Optimize SAP landscapes and performance
  • Optimize database performance, execute data archiving and backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Develop and monitor system KPIs and ensure that SLAs are met
  • Manage system security, including role management, user access, and authorization controls.
  • Ensure SAP systems are compliant with regulatory requirements and data security standards.
  • Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide support for SAP-related issues, resolving functional issues promptly.
  • Work directly with SAP on a technical level to solve issues.
  • Investigate complex SAP notes, understand potential system impact, and work with Functional and Development resources to apply appropriate notes.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all technical and functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Skills and Requirements

  • 8+ years of SAP experience.
  • Participation in at least one complete cycle of SAP implementations.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in delivering enterprise business solutions.
  • At least 8 years of SAP Basis and Security experience
  • Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4 HANA is highly desired.
  • Proficient in the use and management of cloud-based solutions. Managing cloud providers such as AWS and Azure for SAP hosting
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP BASIS & Security, SAP BTP, and integration solutions.
  • Skilled in monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting SAP HANA systems using SAP HANA Cockpit and HANA Studio, as well as implementing SAP HANA security, XS applications, and system performance optimization.
  • Experienced in memory management, system monitoring, performance tuning, system refresh/copy, SAP backup and recovery strategies and high-availability configurations
  • Knowledge of system integration, ALE/IDoc administration, batch management, and database administration, SAP HANA databases, including installation, monitoring, and tuning
  • Expertise in performance troubleshooting for HANA and SLT systems.
  • Proficient in user and role management, Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations, and identity provider integrations.
  • Experience in administration and security of other systems such as SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Ariba, and SAP IBP is a plus.

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or an equivalent combination of coursework and demonstrated direct job experience.
  • Experience with projects integrating SAP to cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with remote teams and matrixed reporting environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in wholesale, consumer, and retail channels and integrating those into an SAP ERP platform.
  • Experience with integration e-commerce and other SaaS consumer platforms is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in the consumer goods or food industry is highly preferred.

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay
