Friendship is looking for qualified and self-motivated Certified Nurse Aide / Nursing Assistant to join our Richfield Assisted Living team located in Salem. The ideal CNA will be extremely detail-oriented and possess in-depth knowledge of patient procedures. Providing patient care is a vital part of this job which is why excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed.
Full-Time CNA Sign On Bonus - Upon hire you are eligible for $1,000 paid out in equal installments beginning our your first paycheck continuing every paycheck until you have reached 6 months of employment.
Shifts available:
- Full Time - 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. including every other weekend (Joseph C. Thomas Center Assisted Living)
- Full Time - 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. including every other weekend (Joseph C. Thomas Center Assisted Living)
- Part Time - 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. including every other weekend (The Oaks Assisted Living)
- Part Time - 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. including every other weekend (The Oaks Assisted Living)
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed CNA in the state of VA or if not certified, must be able to provide a training certificate from a board approved program.
- Adult First Aid/CPR and AED required. Friendship can provide training
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Must have knowledge of and an interest in geriatrics; and must have a good understanding of medical terminology
- High school diploma or GED required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with resident admissions, transfers and discharges as instructed by licensed nurse
- Assist residents with daily personal care, bath and bathroom functions
- Maintain records of resident care and condition
- Assist residents with walking, repositioning, sitting, standing, with or without the use of medical equipment and toileting
- Measure and record vital signs, heights and weight as required
- Ensure residents have adequate supplies and that Orbitz is utilized appropriately for tracking/charging purposes
- Comply with all requirements set forth in individual resident care plans
