Spring Arbor Living of Williamsburg, VA is seeking a qualified full-time Assistant Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) to join our team. We are looking for passionate, caring people who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting the Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) in his/her daily activities. Direct Resident Assistants (RAs) and help coordinate services to residents under the direction of the Resident Care Coordinator and Health Services Coordinator (where applicable).

Nursing Responsibilities and Medication Assistance
▪ Audit Medication Administration Report (MAR), notify pharmacy of changes
▪ Complete resident assessments as outlined by Spring Arbor and licensure guidelines in a timely manner
▪ Develop and implement resident care plans to meet the needs of residents per Spring Arbor and state guidelines
▪ Coordinate resident care service needs
▪ Consult with families and/or physicians to coordinate proper resident care
▪ Monitor all aspects of the medication administration program
▪ Communicate with physicians and other medical professionals regarding residents’ medications, treatments, and/or therapies
▪ Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility and incontinence care
▪ Perform and document medical treatments and/or procedures according to state regulations and Spring Arbor policies and procedures
▪ Respond to resident emergency call system promptly
▪ Assist and orient residents at time of
Manage
▪ Manage and direct resident care staff
▪ Complete scheduling for resident care staff
▪ Timely completion of all Spring Arbor and state required documentation
▪ Assist the Executive Director and RCC in implementing state regulations as required
Training Responsibilities
▪ Coordinate and/or conduct in-service training for resident care staff as needed
▪ Orient, monitor progress and reinforce training of resident care staff
▪ Attend meetings and training sessions as required and in accordance with state guidelines
Other Responsibilities
▪ Fulfill Manager On Duty requirements
▪ Assist coworkers with other duties as needed
▪ Perform other related duties as assigned by his/her supervisor
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
▪ Experience in and knowledge of diagnoses
▪ Knowledge of medication and administration programs and procedures
▪ Knowledge of effective supervisory and management practices, techniques, and methods
▪ Knowledge of resources for seniors and of related agencies
▪ Ability to exercise confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
▪ Pleasant, friendly, and helpful at all times ensuring proper and timely service
▪ Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude at all times
▪ Genuine concern for and strong interest in working with seniors
▪ Professional appearance and demeanor

▪ Organized and methodical
QUALIFICATIONS:
▪ Must be 18 years of age or older
▪ Experience or training in an equivalent setting preferred
▪ RN/LPN or Bachelor’s degree preferred
▪ MedTech certification required if not LPN/RN
▪ General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors
▪ Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
▪ Ability to manage team processes and promote a team environment
