Schedule: Monday- Friday, on-call 24-7 for community needs
Location: 2300 N. 113th Terrace, Kansas City, KS
Pay: $65,000-$71,000
Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Health and Wellness is responsible for assisting the Director of Health and Wellness for effective overall management of the Nursing Department and coordination with other ancillary health providers to provide quality care and services to all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admission Process/Negotiated Service Plan: Shall participate on the NSA initially along with the Director of Health and Wellness to ensure that the management of clinical needs are evaluated, documented, and managed.
- Assist the DHW to ensure effective and efficient organization and staffing of the Nursing Department.
- Ensure that resident care interventions meet the personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each resident as well as maximize his/her self-care capacities, identify, independence, choice and opportunity for social interaction.
- Medication Audits: Inspect on a biweekly basis of medication passes, carts, and rooms for compliance.
- Call availability: Sharing of call availability as defined by the DHW.
- Work Schedule/Hours: Salaried positions essential Monday-Friday and as needed to ensure protective oversight of the clinical needs or the residents. Normal workday hours will be determined by the DHW to provide quality care to residents and support staff.
- Manager on Duty: follow MOD assignment and instructions from the ED when scheduled.
Education and Experience:
- Active LPN license in the state of Kansas.
- 1-2 years of charge nurse management experience.
- 1-2 years of working with memory-impaired residents.
- Basic knowledge of geriatric nursing principles.
