Senior Director, Acquisition Credit Policy & Analytics

What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Director, Acquisition Credit Policy & Analytics within our North American Fuel Division. This position falls under our US Risk line of business and is located in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will serve as the Credit subject matter expert tasked with executing credit strategies and analytics for the US Vehicle payment business of Corpay – approximately $1B in annual revenue. You will report directly to the VP of Acquisition Risk for the US and regularly collaborate with stakeholders, Legal/Compliance, and Risk functional leaders.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Building and stewarding the implementation of the credit road map, considering Corpay’s current and future strategy by partnering with customers, stakeholders, and Risk functional leaders.
  • Leading efforts to evaluate, test, and integrate existing and new credit data sources by leveraging data and analytics.
  • Having end-to-end ownership of the application credit loss rates and using data and analytics to mitigate application credit risk while creating more automation and improving decision accuracy.
  • Creating and defining a credit strategy or vision.
  • Identifying key people, processes, and technology needs to ensure that you deliver on building best-in-class credit policies capable of enabling business growth while mitigating loss.
  • Undertaking analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of existing credit models, existing credit data sources, as well as new credit data sources to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Designing and implementing strategies, including new credit models and/or rules to prevent losses.
  • Designing and developing “test and learn” campaigns by partnering with other functions and business partners to validate key hypotheses.
  • Partnering with the Decision Technology team to implement credit rules and cash flow strategies.
  • Partnering with the Fraud Analytics team to maximize orthogonality between credit and fraud models by creating 1st vs 3rd party fraud tagging.
  • Working to enhance, improve, and automate reporting.
  • Partnering with the credit operations team to identify process improvement opportunities associated with manual reviews and documentation requirements.
  • Partnering with other cross-functional teams to create segment-level NPV models to help maximize approvals.
  • Partnering with the Technology team, the Customer Service team, and other functions to understand the current products, targeting strategy, and key areas of improvement.
  • Managing a team of 1-2 offshore analysts to drive credit strategy analytics and development.
  • Working on the implementation of various strategies by writing and socializing business requirements with PMO and tech teams for making changes to credit policy, creating relevant brute force test cases, and running testing on these changes in UAT and production environment

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of credit risk strategy experience in credit card acquisition, preferably with strong business acumen in the Near-Prime credit segment.
  • 5+ years of credit experience in underwriting and designing strategies for Small Business Segments.
  • Experience in building credit risk strategies for unsecured credit/lending, preferably in near-prime, new-to-credit, and thin-file segments.
  • Expert analytical skills to drive business results through data-driven business proposals.
  • Proficiency in using SQL and Python programming languages.
  • A history of success in leading initiatives and driving results.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills; ability to deliver business proposals and present results to senior management.
  • Ability to collaborate well with business partners and influence business decisions.
  • Ability to lead other team members by influence.
