What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Director of Enterprise Monitoring within our IT infrastructure division. This position falls under our GCTO line of business and is located in Peachtree Corners, GA. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Enterprise Monitoring to join our team. The proper candidate will lead our organization through an observability transformation where we focus on creating proactive and business-aligned monitoring solutions.  This leader will drive the evolution of our observability strategy, leveraging tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds, and Gigamon to provide real-time visibility into system performance, availability, and security. The goal is to enhance our proactive measurements, help align the entire company behind a standardized monitoring framework and ensure that system telemetry directly ties to business outcomes and enhances decision-making.

 As a Director of Enterprise Monitoring you will be expected to work out of our Peachtree Corners, GA location. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities:

  • Developing and execute a comprehensive enterprise monitoring and observability strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Leading the company-wide adoption and optimization of Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds, and Gigamon to improve end-to-end visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Focusing on proactive monitoring & observability as we transition away from traditional monitoring to an advanced AI-driven, predictive observability model to prevent issues before they impact the business.
  • Driving continuous improvement by staying ahead of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in enterprise observability.
  • Establishing a framework where system performance metrics and telemetry are tied to business KPIs, ensuring IT provides meaningful insights for business leaders.
  • Implementing automated monitoring and incident response solutions by leveraging AIOps capabilities to streamline incident detection and remediation.
  • Collaborating and partner with Engineering, Operations, Security, and our Lines of Business to ensure monitoring solutions meet cross-functional needs.
  • Ensuring enterprise monitoring practices align with industry best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years of IT infrastructure and operations experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on monitoring and observability.
  • Experience building and scaling enterprise-wide monitoring frameworks in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to connect system telemetry with business outcomes and operational KPIs.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and application performance monitoring.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior executives.
  • Strong background in performance tuning, application monitoring, and network security monitoring.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds, and Gigamon preferred, with a strong understanding of how to leverage these tools for proactive monitoring.
  • Experience with application development, software architecture, or DevOps practices to integrate monitoring into CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including monitoring cloud-native applications.
  • Familiarity with observability concepts like tracing, log aggregation, and real-user monitoring (RUM).
  • Strong understanding of AIOps, machine learning in observability, and self-healing automation techniques.
