Sales Engineer, Mid-Market

What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Mid-Market Sales Engineer within our Fleet division. This position falls under our Fuel line of business and is located remotely with 10% travel. In this role, In this role you will work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of our customers, strategize on how to navigate winning sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business. You will report directly to the Manager of Sales Engineering and regularly collaborate with our large sales team selling our Fuel Cards, AP Automation and Corporate Card products.

How We Work

As a Sales Engineer, you will be expected to work in a remote environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Presenting AP Automation, Corporate Card, and Fuel Card technology and vision to executives and technical contributors (prospects and existing customers).

  • Working hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of our technology throughout the sales cycle, from discovery and demo to proof of concept, including onboarding and implementation.

  • Supporting sales representatives with closing complex deals, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.

  • Serving as a subject matter expert on Corpay One, providing in-depth technical guidance and support to clients.

  • Maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position our solutions in relation to them.

  • Collaborating with Product Management, Sales Leadership, Learning & Development, and Marketing to continuously improve our products and assist in the development of internal and external resources.

  • Collaborating hand in hand with sales teams to identify opportunities for AP Automation, Corporate Cards and Fuel Cards.

  • Assisting with identifying upsell opportunities.

  • Assisting with answering technical questions throughout the sales process.

  • Assisting with training sessions for internal and external audiences.

  • 10% travel occasionally to meet with business and sales teams.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years in customer facing role

  • Experience demonstrating software products to a range of customers, from c-suite executives to managers

  • Understanding of Accounts Payable Automation, Corporate Cards, Fuel Cards, and Basic Accounting Principles (preferred)

  • Proficiency in presentation building (e.g., PowerPoint), from intermediate to expert level

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to act as an advisor to customers and sales representatives

  • Ability to effectively communicate the business value and/or ROI of proposed programs, demonstrating strong financial selling skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required

This salary range is provided for locations which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range varies depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organization needs.  The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets.  At Corpay, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  An estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is $62,000.00-$65,000.00 plus uncapped commissions.
