What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Accounting within our Corpay Finance division. This position falls under our Finance line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. As a key member of the finance leadership team, the successful candidate will help lead the company's Accounting Department primarily within the Corporate Payments division.

As a Accounting Manager you will be expected to work in Hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Hybrid – Brentwood, TN. Hybrid Office Location
- Company-issued equipment + remote access
- Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities
- Provide support in revenue recognition processes, including period-ending close activities, journal entries, and accruals to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prompt response to provide additional support for preliminary month-end financial review and flux explanations.
- Continually evaluate and optimize month-end close processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracy.
- Coordinate with other team members within our department to ensure accuracy of the financial account balances
- Develop/enhance, implement, and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business.
- Partner with and liaison with other departments on analyzing financial balances, problem resolution, and strategic business initiatives.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests related to revenue, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff and conduct performance evaluations.
- Mentor and develop staff with collaborative approach establishing accountabilities, objectives, priorities, and monitoring/evaluating results.
- Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Partner with IT teams to enhance revenue recognition systems and ensure data integrity with accounting standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively communicate to all levels of an organization when necessary
- Ability to coordinate and work within a team in a hybrid environment
- Demonstrated background and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
- Ability to work well under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines timely accurately in a high paced environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on, detail-oriented individual with the ability to see the big picture
- Desire to work in a complex, large scale accounting and finance environment

- Track record leading a team of professionals with a demonstrated ability to hire and retain employees

- Advanced computer skills for Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and up to date skills for ERP, EPM and DB systems
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA track preferred
- 5 – 7+ years of previous experience in accounting roles
- Prior management experience in public accounting or publicly traded company
- Strong background in US GAAP, SEC Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance
- Fintech, financial, technology sector/industry experience a plus
- Proven experience with process improvement and IT system implementation projects
