Settlement Specialist (ATM Industry)
The Settlement Specialist plays a key role in the onboarding and management of Customers and their ATM’s. This includes ensuring that all required paperwork is received, setting up ATM profiles on the processor website, and then entering the ATM profile into the ATM Software System. The specialist must ensure that data is processed timely, accurately, and complete, monitor and resolve discrepancies, liaise with various stakeholders, and maintain records for audits and reporting.
This is an hourly position that pays between $19-$23/hour.
General Responsibilities:
- Onboarding New Customers:
- Reviews and interprets contractual information received from customers.
- Ensures paperwork received is accurate and complete.
- Enter all necessary data into the software to onboard the Customer.
- ATM Terminal Setups:
- Receives and reviews instructions from Customers for onboarding of new terminals.
- Ensures paperwork received is accurate and complete.
- Uses the Processor portal to create the terminal profile.
- Enters the new terminal profile into the ATM Management Software
- ATM Terminal Changes:
- Receives and reviews instructions from Customers to change existing terminal profiles.
- Ensures paperwork received is accurate and complete.
- Uses the Processor portal to make the changes to the terminal profile.
- Enters the new terminal profile into the ATM Management Software
- Reporting & Compliance:
- Generates reports for internal use, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures compliance with financial regulations, including those governing electronic payments and data security.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Works closely with internal teams (finance, operations, customer service) and external partners (processors) to facilitate settlement operations.
- Data & Record Management:
- Maintains accurate and organized records of customer and settlement data.
- Prepares data for financial audits and regulatory reviews.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Bachelor’s degree preferred). 2 years’ general accounting experience including financial reconciliation, settlement processing, or banking operations, general knowledge of ATM industry, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with financial software, and strong communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships.
