Scheduler Analyst

The Scheduler Analyst will gather, maintain, coordinate and balance volumes of bulk fuel to be transported through system pipelines and facilities. This position will be directly responsible for and balancing all transportation volume activities. The Scheduler Analyst will also be directly responsible for the daily verification and monitoring of scheduled volumes and imbalances for assigned systems.

Duties include:

  • Forecasts, procures, and manages bulk fuel and additives – with bulk fuel delivered to our proprietary terminal in Waco, TX via the Explorer pipeline. 
  • Develops an extensive working knowledge of Fikes terminal processes and procedures to understand opportunities for transportation efficiencies.
  • Ensures that all daily and monthly gas nomination procedures are complied with, and all nominations and confirmations are handled in timely order.
  • Maintains scheduling spreadsheets for tracking inventory to aid in the optimization of daily flows and sales.
  • Monitors and reports daily receipts and deliveries at interconnects for imbalance positions. Provide recommendations to eliminate imbalance positions and minimize forward exposure.
  • Works closely with Fuel Supply team members to ensure all contracts and deals are correctly structured to support operations.
  • Enters all relevant data associated with transactions into the transaction management system, volumetrically balance the systems as required, and manage the volume flow through the system ensuring all arrangements and nominations are properly reflected.
  • Maintains close communication with accounting department to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • After hours and weekend on-call coverage is required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations management, logistics or related field.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, and the ability to pick up new systems/software.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must have strong analytical ability and creativity in problem solving.
  • Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, with excellent organizational skills.  
  • Ability to handle problems and facilitate successful outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with field personnel on operational issues.
  • Candidate must demonstrate a very strong understanding and appreciation for working in a team environment and display an ability to gain strong commitment to the Company’s mission, vision and values.
