Senior Finance Auditor

Senior Finance Auditor job is responsible to support the project manager in delivery management and independently work on the assigned process areas along with mentoring team members. You can expect to work with external & internal client/s personnel to execute compliance, financial and operational risk projects.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Lead and execute work programs to verify the operational effectiveness of key controls utilizing a range of methods, including as sampling, corroboration, observation, and performance monitoring.
• Reviewing the audit evidence, validating them for completeness and accuracy and documenting the work-papers.
• Constantly demonstrate critical thinking and analytical review of evidence, draft findings and present to management.
• Performs financial audits including financial statements review, internal controls assessment, substantive works, corroborative interviews, reporting, completion, and client relationship management
• Experience in performing multiple full rounds of internal auditing and proficient with US GAAP and SOX regulations.
• Ability to identify and assess complex Process risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly to all levels.
• Perform SOX walkthroughs and testing in accordance with the company's frameworks and document the results.
• Leverages industry knowledge from prior experience.
• Developed specific audit plans - draft work programs, risk assessments, testing strategies, data requests, etc.

Experience & Professional Pre-Requisites

• 6-8 years of professional experience in areas of risk & compliance (operational risk, SOX compliance, internal audit, business process reviews etc.).
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIMA or CA.
• Exceptionally good MS office skills including MS Visio & PDF Pro applications
• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, SOX, US GAAP, IFRS and auditing concepts and standards
