Receiving Associate @ The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles

The Position:

As a Receiver, you’ll be the backbone of our store’s operations. You’ll keep the wheels turning by managing inventory and ensuring the store is always stocked with the right products. This hands-on, high-energy role allows you to make an impact, stay active, and help create an amazing guest experience.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

• Master of Inventory: Be the first to handle all new inventory receipts, ensuring everything is accounted for and in perfect condition.
• Data Wizard: Keep our inventory records accurate and up-to-date, ensuring everything is where it should be.
• Stockroom Rockstar: You’ll receive, transfer, pack, stock, and ticket merchandise—keeping everything running like a well-oiled machine.
• Inventory Guru: Conduct cycle counts, manage transfers, and handle price changes to keep the store at peak performance.
• Organization Extraordinaire: Maintain an immaculate stockroom, keeping it organized and clean to company standards.
• Team Player: Jump in to help with additional tasks assigned by the Store Director and Assistant Director, working together to make the store successful.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Strength & Stamina: You’re comfortable lifting and moving up to 75 pounds. This is a physical role that keeps you moving!
• Tech-Savvy: Basic computer skills are vital to ensuring smooth inventory management.
• Flexible & Ready to Go: You’re available to work weekends and evenings, and you can adapt to the store’s needs.
• Great Communicator: You can collaborate with your team and keep things running smoothly with ease.
• Experience Preferred: If you’ve worked in a stockroom or inventory role before, awesome! If not, we’re excited to train you.

Physical Demands: You’ll be on your feet, staying active as you handle merchandise. You must be comfortable moving around from standing and walking to climbing, stooping, and occasionally kneeling. And, of course, lifting and moving up to 75 pounds is part of the job—but don’t worry, we’ve got your back with teamwork and support.
