At The Living Desert, our retail operations support the Zoo’s mission to engage and inspire guests to care about desert conservation and wildlife. Our special Bigfoot exhibit is touching down soon! Join us as a Sales Lead (Part-Time Temporary)!

Please note this is a TEMPORARY position beginning November 11th and ending at the end of December.

As the Part-Time Temporary Sales Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient inventory management for our retail store. Your efforts will directly impact the guest experience by ensuring that products reflecting the beauty and importance of wildlife and desert conservation are consistently available and well-stocked.

What You’ll Do:

  • Organize and Manage Inventory: Take charge of receiving, transferring, packing, stocking, and ticketing merchandise to keep our stockroom orderly and efficient.
  • Support Daily Store Operations: Assist the store management team with day-to-day operations and ensure everything runs like clockwork.
  • Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Ensure our guests have a seamless, enjoyable experience by keeping the sales floor fully stocked and organized.

Position Preferences / Requirements:

  • Flexible Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early evenings, and holidays.
  • Basic Computer Knowledge: Comfortable with basic computer operations to assist with inventory management and related tasks.
  • Stockroom Experience: Previous experience in a stockroom or inventory role is required.
  • Positive and Welcoming Attitude: Must be friendly, engaging, and approachable toward guests, team members, and venue staff.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and occasional reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds regularly.
