The Indianapolis Zoo is a beloved cultural destination, renowned for its commitment to animal care and conservation. As a Full-Time Receiving Lead, you’ll play a vital role in the operations of the zoo’s retail stores, ensuring that merchandise is accurately received, organized, and prepared for display, helping create an exceptional shopping experience for guests.

The Role:

As a Full-Time Receiving Lead, you will be responsible for managing the receiving and processing of merchandise shipments for the zoo’s retail stores. You will ensure inventory accuracy, maintain organization in the stockroom, and support the retail team by ensuring product availability on the sales floor.

What You’ll Do:

• Organize and Manage Inventory: Take charge of receiving, transferring, packing, stocking, and ticketing merchandise to keep our stockroom orderly and efficient.
• Support Daily Store Operations: Assist the store management team with day-to-day operations and ensure everything runs like clockwork.
• Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Ensure our guests have a seamless, enjoyable experience by keeping the sales floor fully stocked and organized.

Position Preferences / Requirements:

• Flexible Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early evenings, and holidays.
• Basic Computer Knowledge: Comfortable with basic computer operations to assist with inventory management and related tasks.
• Stockroom Experience: Previous experience in a stockroom or inventory role is required.
• Positive and Welcoming Attitude: Must be friendly, engaging, and approachable toward guests, team members, and venue staff.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, and occasional reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds regularly.
