Hyatt Place Pasadena – Sales Manager

 

Overview:

As a Hotel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities while nurturing and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will work closely with the hotel's operation team to develop and implement strategies that align with the hotel's objectives and target market.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and networking efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, event planners, and other key stakeholders to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Conduct site visits, presentations, and negotiations with potential clients to secure group bookings, corporate accounts, and other revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue potential for group and transient business.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and other relevant documents in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent the hotel and promote its services and amenities.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with other departments, including operations, marketing, and catering, to ensure seamless execution of events and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, advertising campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives to support sales efforts.
  • Stay updated on hotel products, services, and facilities to effectively communicate their value proposition to clients.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior members of the sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Uphold the hotel's brand standards and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Hotel experience/ hotel sales experience preferred. 
  • Proactive personality and work style.
  • Self-starter and strong team member.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Experience selling major franchise brand of hotels (i.e., Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt) a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and other computer programs.
