To qualify for this internship, applicants must be full-time students at an accredited college or university and currently classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior. 

 

Compensation: 21.50/hr

 

JOB SUMMARY


As a Security Analyst Intern within the EIT Security Team, you will assist in safeguarding our organization's information assets while supporting various security initiatives, including the modernization of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and the IAM (Identity and Access Management) Transformation Project.

 

This role involves collaborating with team members to enhance IT security processes and promote best practices in cybersecurity. As an intern, you will receive mentoring and hands-on experience, with support for your key areas of interest. This opportunity is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in cyber security, data analysis, process improvement, project management, IT leadership, or related fields within the security domain.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assist in supporting cyber security processes, including incident response, threat assessment, and vulnerability management.
  • Contribute to the DR and BCP modernization efforts by assisting with risk assessments, documentation updates, and testing of recovery plans.
  • Support the IAM Transformation Project by assisting with data analysis, user access reviews, and policy implementation.
  • Help improve security policies and procedures to protect organizational data.
  • Support communication and collaboration within the EIT Security Team and across the organization to ensure adherence to security protocols.
  • Analyze security data to identify potential vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to security practices and incident reports.
  • Monitor and report on cyber security incidents and overall service performance.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure timely responses to security incidents and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of knowledge management systems for security-related information.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION


  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Cyber Security, Information Technology) or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with basic technical concepts related to cyber security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Exposure to cyber security tools or frameworks is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new security technologies and processes.
