Job Summary:

The Vice President of Commercial Sales is responsible for leading and executing the company's commercial sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share. This executive role will oversee the sales team, develop key client relationships, and implement best practices to achieve organizational goals. The VP will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment with company objectives and customer needs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial sales team to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand into new markets, and drive sustainable growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and terms to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with market demands.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to refine sales strategies.
  • Establish performance metrics, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports to executive leadership.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture through training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of driving sales success.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, market expansion strategies, and revenue growth models.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Proficiency in CRM software(Salesforce), data analytics, and sales forecasting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of sales management experience in commercial building products, preferably flooring.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and exceeding revenue goals in B2B sales.
  • Experience managing large client accounts and negotiating high-value contracts.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and company initiatives.
