We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join our team and take ownership of developing accurate, data-driven demand forecasts. This role is pivotal in aligning market dynamics, customer needs, and operational plans to ensure business success. The ideal candidate will excel in statistical forecasting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration while demonstrating a strong understanding of market trends.
Schedule: remote with occassional travel to Lancaster, PA headquarters
Demand Planner Salary Range: $74,000 - $91,000, depending on experience
Core Contributions:
- Demand Forecasting
- Develop precise demand forecasts using advanced statistical methods and forecasting tools.
- Maintain a rolling 24-month demand plan by site and customer, ensuring seamless integration into the MRP system.
- Data Analysis
- Leverage sales data, historical trends, and external indicators (e.g., consumer confidence, housing starts) to identify demand patterns.
- Correlate and adjust forecasts for related materials (attachment rate planning) to meet business requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to align forecasts with promotional activities, product launches, and scheduled projects.
- Act as a central contact for delivering insights on sales trends, market changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Reporting and Insights
- Prepare and present demand forecasts and performance metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to identify constraints and ensure plan feasibility.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify process enhancements to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to refine planning strategies.
- KPI Monitoring
- Drive organizational success by monitoring key performance metrics, such as forecast accuracy and responsiveness to firm period changes.
Essential Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar analytical role
- Experience with demand planning software and data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, and forecasting software
